Child, Teen and Parenting Counselling

“Parenthood remains the greatest single preserve of the amateur” wrote author Alvin Toffler. As parents, we do not go through any training and are still expected to respond appropriately to the growing child’s emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.

In today’s fast world, children have a lot to cope with issues such as peer pressure, relationship, friendship, bullying, academic expectations at home and school, aspiration to fit into social networking in an image- obsessed world. The “inner child” is lost!!

The children and teens I counsel come to me with problems such as chronic anxiety, withdrawal symptoms, rebellious moods, uncontrollable anger, lack of motivation, low self- esteem, sexual confusion, substance abuse and other anti- social behaviors.

As a counsellor,  my role is to guide children and teenagers to find their own answers, adjust positively to their circumstances, accept themselves and others and find their own goals and place in the world.

Together we focus on three questions:
  • What do I want to do?
  • Where do I want to be?
  • How can I achieve this?
With an Integrated Approach of -
  • Counselling
  • Bioguided Music Therapy
  • Art Therapy
  • Clinical Hypnotherapy
With the above approaches children and teens are able to enhance and improve their communication skills , concentration, attention, self-confidence and problem solving abilities .
